Perkins Fund Marketing (“PFM”) is a placement agent for hedge funds. PFM was founded in 1997 by Gilman “Chip” Perkins and has raised over $7bn in assets for the managers PFM have represented. PFM relocated to Palm Beach Gardens in 2020 after being in Southport CT for over twenty years. PFM has senior team of six individuals, with five selling the funds PFM represents. PFM works with between 5 and 7 funds/managers at any time, always with non-competing strategies. The firms or funds PFM work with usually have in excess of $100 million under management and a track record of in excess of three years and PFM matches them with the appropriate investor groups to try to bring them to their asset/investor goals. PFM also listens to its investor base in determining which managers to take on as PFM wants to bring them only funds that they would be interested in and may be a fit.
